St Nicolas in Havré

Historic site and monument ,  Heritage buildings ,  Religious building in Mons
  • Over the course of time, the parish church founded in 1224 has been refurbished and rebuilt several times. Thus, the church built in the 15th century was burnt in the 17th century, and then rebuilt in 1664. The tower of the present church is a remnant from the 15th century. This church of Saint Nicholas in Havré has a baroque facade but a classical interior. It is especially rich in woodwork - also in baroque style - while its treasury is rich in old liturgical ornamentation.
